To understand Rev. chptrs 2 & 3 we must understand the Hebraic / Israeli / Jewish symbolism and concepts presented therein. And, we cannot understand chapters 2 & 3 without understanding God's tremendous hatred of all forms of Idolatry. Idolatry is sticky and addictive, even for Christians.
